Balers are an important part of economic disposal today. With Strautmann balers recyclable materials such as cardboard, film, PET, foam and much more can be compacted. With a pressing force of the balers from 3 to 70t, the volume of recyclables is reduced to a minimum. The vertical balers “PP 1208 & PP 1208 Plus70” are predestined for economic and ecological use. More than 20 years ago these balers are known in the food retail, industrial, wholesale and warehouse sectors and optimize the waste management logistics of many companies on a daily basis. Thanks to the small footprint, the presses can be used almost anywhere. The placement directly at the location of the material saves time and creates time for the core business. Employees do not have to go outside in wind and weather to empty the recyclables into a press container.
Economically energy costs are saved. By reducing the volume of materials not only internally space is saved but also transports are reduced. With the compaction of material in directly marketable bales high revenues are achieved. Rental and handling costs for containers are completely eliminated. Overall, costs are reduced and revenues increase.
From an ecological point of view the closed gates dont only save heating costs, they also reduce CO2 emissions. The bales lead to full transport utilization, so that the number of transports is reduced considerably.
Filling: The material like cardboard packaging is put into the filling opening of Strautmann PP 1208. With the QuickDoor® a swing/sliding door, material which is outside the chamber can be simply pushed into the press chamber. There is no danger of injury by manual pressing material into chamber. Due to the Press-Shield-Guidingsystem TopPlus® also an uneven filling of the press chamber is possible without any errors. Imbalance of the press plate during press process is avoided due to the very stable construction.
Pressing process: A push of a button and the pressing process starts. Integrated downholders inside the press chamber called CircleSystem®, also reduce the re-expansion of the pressed material. This gives the bale a high bale density and the transports are optimally loaded.
Baling: Once the bale is finished the machines shows a bale ready message. The operator then opens via hydraulic door lock called “HydroClose®” the door which allows a safe and comfortable opening, without an unexpected opening. With four quicklink wires the bale is tied quickly and easily. Paper mills in Germany usually require bales tied with wire.
Bale ejection: The bale ejection is also user-friendly. The bale ejection can only be operated with a twohand operation to protect the operator. After the operator has tied the bale and placed a pallet for the bale ejection in front of the press the user presses the button for ejection. Thanks to the hydraulic bale ejector, the bale then falls on the pallet and can be conveniently stored.Click here for related articles and news on BalersSearch for Baler manufacturers in our Equipment Guide
