Import restrictions recently introduced in this region have significantly limited the availability of end-markets for these recovered materials, and the uncertainty generated by the lack of clear rules of compliance in these countries results in a high risk of shipments being rejected.
Paper and cardboard sorting plants can address this issue by ensuring a high purity of the different output fractions, resulting in better recycling rates for this type of material.
