With this in mind, AMUT is constantly engaged in the research and development of waste treatment technologies. The company’s activities are divided into 2 main sectors: Recycling and Extrusion, through two dedicated business units.
The two sectors, although divided, are often integrated with each other. From the sorting plants, a reduction of materials that can be washed for reuse is obtained by extrusion, resulting in recycled materials to be reintroduced into the market. It all fits perfectly into the philosophy of:
- Reduce
- Reuse
- Recycle
AMUT’s product technologies range from sorting plants for separating reusable materials, through pre-washing equipment, delabellers, complete and complex washing and recycling plants for plastics, to extruders that process them to put them back on the market in pellet form.
Thanks to the extensive range of products designed and manufactured in-house, AMUT is able to cover almost 90% of the equipment integrated in waste recovery plants.
For each type of waste, the starting point for recycling is sorting.

Plants such as MRF (Material Recycling Facility), PRF (Plastics Recycling Facility) are the best known. AMUT has been designing and building these plants for over 25 years, increasing its experience day by day, working directly in the field alongside end-users. This makes it possible to develop new solutions based on market requirements or due to changing material compositions.
The sorting line with its conveyor belts (both rubber and metal shutters), rotary or disc screens, air separators, ballistic separators, storage warehouses and many others, is capable of handling the most diverse sorting challenges.
Preparation of material for washing lines, but also in front of incineration systems with the preparation of CSS material or materials for chemical recycling.
The Washing line covers the treatment of both rigid and film materials.
Rigid materials must then be further diversified between HD, PP and PET bottles. These are sectors where AMUT, using state-of-the-art technology, succeeds in obtaining from a post-consumer or waste material a material of the highest quality that can be reused in the food chain. This sector includes worldwide customers and brands that use AMUT technologies for their materials.
The Extrusion line not only includes machinery for the production of finished products such as membranes, sheets, pipes, profiles, etc…., but also includes products for the filtration and granulation of plastics from washing plants.
A new milestone in plant management has been achieved thanks to the implementation of control systems with artificial intelligence.
Thanks to its use in combination with various accessories to be installed in the plant machinery, AMUT’s service is able to determine, in a predictive manner, the intervention times on certain components of the machinery.
Its use is a great achievement especially for customers. Knowing the real intervention times, they can organise their production accordingly, without risking unplanned plant downtimes.
This is a new addition to Amut’s engineering expertise, whose extensive experience in manufacturing and supplying waste disposal systems guarantees customers tailor-made solutions for their specific needs.
