The result is the new line inaugurated on June 10, 2025, in Vietnam: a cutting-edge facility that marks another step forward in the Asian company’s growth strategy and in the global spread of sustainable solutions.
The Sorema line, designed for PET recycling and built with the most advanced technologies, has been fully operational for several weeks and boasts a production capacity of 4.000 kg/h of recycled output flakes, food grade approved. This milestone confirms the reliability and efficiency of Italian-made plants, capable of meeting the needs of a rapidly evolving market while ensuring high quality standards, essential for reintegrating PET into production cycles.
Andrea Villa, Area Sales Manager at Sorema and responsible for the Far East, emphasized the importance of the preliminary work carried out during the laboratory tests:
“The tests on the input material proved decisive, as they allowed us to thoroughly understand the characteristics of the feedstock available in the Asian market. From this came the need to develop a customized washing line, with a particular focus on the pre-washing section. Unlike the materials treated in Europe, Asian feedstock presents different contamination levels and requires tailored solutions—European standards cannot simply be applied. We therefore designed a bespoke plant, able to adapt to local conditions and ensure optimal performance.”
During the grand opening in Vietnam, attended by partners and industry representatives, the crucial role of this new facility for the local recycling supply chain was highlighted. For CPC, choosing Sorema once again means not only consolidating its presence in Asia but also reaffirming trust in a technological partner that has already proven its ability to combine innovation with sustainability.
Ruby La, CEO of CPC, expressed her great satisfaction:
“From the very first operational tests, the line fully met expectations: reliability, continuous production, and the quality of the recycled material confirmed the value of Sorema’s technology. Our collaboration with Sorema once again ensures tangible results, contributing to the creation of a more sustainable industrial model. Moreover, the line has been designed to guarantee not only high production performance but also an optimal balance between capex and opex, making the investment both sustainable and efficient in the long term.”
With this new achievement, Sorema strengthens its reputation for Italian excellence in the recycling industry, while Circular Plastics Company confirms its role as a key player in the transition toward a circular economy, where production efficiency and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
