The results are promising: functional, environmental and energy improvements and a global market moving towards a circular economy.

REDWAVE has designed and constructed a new processing plant for SWARCO that produces premium reflective glass beads. These high-quality glass beads are produced from flat glass industrial waste and are primarily used for road and airport markings to ensure traffic safety. The premium glass beads are already optimally adapted to the challenges of the future, including autonomous driving.

Austrian based REDWAVE has been developing ground-breaking solutions for the recycling industry for over 25 years. In addition to sorting machines and sorting systems for the extraction of recyclable materials, REDWAVE recently delivered the first fully automatic quality control system in mobile container design to one of the largest glass manufacturers in Germany. This container solution is fast and easy to install, and its flexible design allows for both future adaptations and quick location changes.

Recycling specialist Parry & Evans has installed Bunting magnetic separators to recover metal from pre-sorted domestic waste. At their Deeside plant in the United Kingdom, the company uses a Permanent Overband Magnet to recover ferrous metals such as steel food cans, and an Eddy Current Separator to reclaim valuable aluminium including drinks cans.

It was the 1980s in the Rožňava district of Slovakia. During some explorations in the area, a talc deposit was discovered. Soon it became clear that it was not just an ordinary finding but one of the largest in the world. Today, more than 40 years later, Slovakia is home to one of the richest talc deposits in Europe, operated by the mining company euroTalc.

The demands on the paper industry in the coming years require a completely new understanding of quality and material availability. Changes in our demographic and economic behaviour make a new generation of sorting machines indispensable.
