The World Biogas Expo & Summit 2027 takes place on 30 June and 1 July 2027 in Hall 3 of the NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom. Hosted by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association and the World Biogas Association, it is the largest trade event dedicated to anaerobic digestion and biogas.
For the recycling and organics sector the exhibition covers the whole chain: depackaging and pre-treatment of food waste, feedstock handling and hygienisation, digester technology and mixing, biogas upgrading to biomethane, CHP and gas-to-grid equipment, and the handling, separation and nutrient recovery of digestate. Odour control, monitoring and permitting suppliers exhibit alongside them.
The Summit programme covers policy on separate food waste collection, the biomethane market, carbon capture from biogas plants and the economics of digestate as a fertiliser replacement. The industry awards ceremony takes place during the event. Visitors are plant operators, waste management companies, farmers, local authorities and investors.
