Reed Exhibitions Limited, trading as RX, is an international organiser of business-to-business trade fairs and events. The company is headquartered in Richmond upon Thames, United Kingdom, and is the exhibitions business of RELX. For the recycling and waste management sector, its best-known show is Pollutec, the environmental and energy solutions exhibition held in Lyon, France.
Trade fairs and events across industries
RX organises exhibitions and conferences for industry communities worldwide. According to the company’s own website it runs more than 400 events in 22 countries across 43 industry sectors, with offices in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, India, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia. RELX describes the division as combining “industry expertise, digital tools, and data to help customers connect in-person and online, discover new markets, source products, generate leads, and transact”.
Pollutec: environmental, waste and recycling solutions
Pollutec is presented by its organiser as “the reference international event for environmental and energy solutions for industries, cities and territories”. The show covers eleven sectors of expertise, including waste, recycling, waste collection, water treatment, air quality, pollution control, energy efficiency and sustainable industry, which makes it a meeting place for manufacturers of sorting, size reduction, baling and treatment equipment and their customers in industry and local government. The next edition is scheduled for 12–15 October 2027 at Lyon Eurexpo. For its latest edition the organiser reports 80,000 m² of exhibition space, around 51,000 professional participants, exhibitors and visitors from more than 100 countries and some 350 conferences.
