The Next Level of Double Trommel Technology: Zemmler Accelerates Electric Processing with the MS 36 Pro

Double Trommel Technology
Zemmler Siebanlagen used IFAT 2026 to present the evolution of its proven screening technology. While the established MULTI SCREEN® double trommel system has long been regarded by industry experts as the gold standard for three-fraction separation in a single process, the company from Massen-Niederlausitz is now setting new benchmarks in mobility and drive efficiency with the new MS 36 Pro.

MS 36 Pro: Tracked Mobility as a Trade Fair Highlight for Optimized Logistics

One of the main attractions at this year’s IFAT was the MS 36 Pro, which demonstrated its strengths as a response to the increasing demands of challenging terrain. In contrast to wheeled versions, the integrated tracked chassis provides outstanding maneuverability and precise positioning directly at the material source. As confirmed in expert discussions at the booth, this significantly reduces wheel loader cycle times and optimizes the entire material flow on site, since the machine can flexibly follow the progress of operations. With an operating weight of 7 tons and a compact, container-compatible design, Zemmler impressively demonstrated in Munich how the gap between high throughput performance and easy transportability can be closed.

Electrification in Focus: Market-Oriented 32 A for Urban Emission Standards

Particularly in view of the stricter environmental regulations discussed at the trade fair, the drive concept of the Pro series attracted considerable attention. The technical core is a fully electric drive system designed for a standard 32 A connection. Zemmler is therefore consistently addressing the tightening of noise and exhaust emission limits in urban core areas – one of the key topics of this year’s IFAT. The efficiency of the electric components significantly reduces operating costs compared to conventional diesel-hydraulic drives, making the MS 36 Pro one of the most economical solutions presented at the exhibition. For autonomous operation, the option of an external diesel generator remains available, while the control system is already prepared for integration with renewable energy sources.

Live Demonstration at the VDMA Outdoor Area: System Solution with WIMA

Zemmler impressively proved that the theory works in practice at the VDMA outdoor demonstration area (Outdoor Area South). Here, trade visitors were able to observe the MS 36 Pro in demanding live operation under load. The focus was particularly on the technological integration with WIMA’s wet processing system. In this closed-loop process, the treatment of mixed construction waste containing impurities was demonstrated. The effective screening area of 23 m² ensured a clean separation of the three fractions even at high material throughput rates, while wood components were additionally separated from mineral materials through density separation.

Presentation of the MS 36 Pro & MS 5200 at the Main Booth

In parallel with the live demonstration, Zemmler presented the MS 36 Pro for detailed technical inspection at the main booth (F709/10), together with the proven flagship model MS 5200. Another decisive technical feature of the showcased Pro series is the optimized plug-and-play concept and the intuitive control system with remote maintenance capabilities.

Successful Outcome in Munich

Overall, Zemmler draws an extremely positive conclusion from IFAT 2026. The world’s leading trade fair in Munich was a complete success for the company: in addition to numerous high-level expert discussions and strong interest from international visitors, Zemmler was able to generate important momentum for new projects. With this positive tailwind, the company underlines its ambition not only to be a machine supplier, but also a system partner for efficient and sustainable circular economy solutions.
