For decades, WEIMA has relied on individually configured shredders and briquetting presses that are manufactured exclusively in Germany. Of the over 1,200 machines delivered each year, hardly any two machines are the same. At the Holz-Handwerk 2022 trade fair in Nuremberg, the Ilsfeld company will be presenting its wide range of solutions for the processing of all types of waste wood.
Sustainable. Many want to be. Very few actually are. The fact is: Without shredding machines, further processing, energy use or professional disposal of residuals becomes extremely difficult – if not impossible.
And since there are many different types of wood waste, WEIMA will be presenting five machines at our nearly 100 m² booth in Nuremberg this year. These include the reliable WL 4, WL 8 and WLK 1500 single-shaft shredders. The C 150 and TH 714 briquetting presses will also be on display.
Proven. Rugged. Dependable.
The popular WEIMA shredders are used worldwide. Users include joiners’ and cabinetmakers’ workshops, carpentry companies, roofers, woodworkers, sawmills and, of course, the wood industry.
Probably the best-known shredder is the classic WL 4 with 600 mm working width, manually replaceable screen, air extraction nozzle and a large hopper. It is ideal for small to medium throughputs and, thanks to its compact design, can also fit directly next to a machining center if required. In Nuremberg, the WL 4 will be next to its big brother – the WL 8. It has a working width of 1,000 mm and, compared to the WL 4, a stronger drive power output, 22 kW rather than 18.5 kW.
The WLK 1500 Shredder will be standing by at Holz-Handwerk for those who want to size reduce larger volumes of waste wood. Its conveyor belt cut-out makes it easy to integrate into a production line. The universally applicable,
1,500 mm long rotor made of solid material has a diameter of 370 mm. With an
output of up to 90 kW, wood chips can be produced in a uniform size of 10 –
150 mm.
Waste wood in top shape
The displayed briquetting presses with low-maintenance clamp technology begin one process step later. Loose chips are turned into briquettes that are as dimensionally stable as possible. The advantages are obvious: Volume reduction of up to 90 percent, higher combustion and resale values, a significant reduction in dust and explosion hazards as well as energy self-sufficient heat generation.
WEIMA’s C 150 briquette press is a compact machine for small and medium-sized companies that turns wood chips, shavings and dust into round briquettes with a diameter of 50 mm. As with all WEIMA presses, compaction is achieved by hydraulic pressure alone. Adhesives or binders are not used.
A true all-rounder is the TH 714 briquetting press, which is available with a 2 x 2 meter feed container if required. The standard size is 1.4 x 1.4 m. Both variants produce round briquettes with a diameter of 70 mm. If oil cooling is selected, nothing stands in the way of multi-shift operation. Throughputs up to 150 kg per hour are possible, depending on the material and configuration.
