Established in 1956 the global RoSPA Health & Safety Awards invite entries from organizations of all sizes and from all industries. With almost 2000 entries every year and a reach of over 7 million employees they are widely viewed as one of the most prestigious and well-recognized schemes in the world.
Winners of RoSPA Silver Award winners are recognized for having achieved a high level of safety performance underpinned by good management systems and maintaining a focus on consistent improvement.
“We believe Enva is the only dedicated wood recycling business to have achieved a RoSPA award and maintaining our Silver Award is evidence of the company’s total commitment to continually improving health and safety standards across the group” said Enva’s site manager, Steve Greenwood. “This year’s award is even more important given the additional pressures resulting from COVID-19 and the need to maintain the health, safety, and wellbeing of all our employees during this extremely challenging time.”
Enva operates seven wood recycling facilities across the UK and accepts all grades of non-hazardous waste wood. This material is processed and recycled into a range of sustainable recycled products including panel board chip and the company’s flagship range of animal beddings – easibedding. Any wood that cannot be recycled is used in UK biomass facilities to produce sustainable energy.
