OHARA Corporation (Ohara Tekkosho) is a Japanese engineering company based in Nagaoka, Niigata, founded in 1907. Its environment and energy business includes recycling plant equipment such as crushers, bag openers and sorting machines. The company also builds slope-grooming and snow transport vehicles.
Crushers, bag openers and bale breaking
OHARA’s own range includes the Primax hydraulic two-shaft coarse crusher, a hammer mill for biomass, two-shaft rotary and inclined-drop bag openers, and a screw auger-type crusher that breaks up bales of plastic container packaging and PET bottles as well as coarse wood. A Separation Sizer pre-treats organic waste (bag opening, crushing and sorting in one unit) for methane fermentation and composting. The company also supplies two-shaft and four-shaft shredders made by SSI.
Sorting
For sorting, OHARA offers a roll screen with a double-disc design and the Max-AI robotic sorter, an AI-based machine that removes PET bottles and cans from the conveyor.
