Reconomy Announces Big Step in Supply Chain Automation

Reconomy Announces Big Step in Supply Chain Automation
6 Aug 2020  |
Reconomy has announced a big step forward in its supply chain automation program, enabling users of the leading mobile workforce management software provider, BigChange, to seamlessly integrate with its systems.

Linking specifically with the JobWatch platform, this latest innovation is the third in a series of new APIs released by Reconomy over the last 18 months. It is core to the company’s ongoing digitization strategy which will automate more of its service provider interaction and leverage the operational and financial benefits for all parties.

Commenting on the third API development Reconomy’s Chief Information Officer, Jody Fullman, said: “This development with BigChange is launching hot on the heels of our Midsoft API and continues to demonstrate Reconomy’s commitment to digitally enabling its supply chain and providing our customers with the accurate, fast and dynamic data they rightly require. Watch this space for further developments with both existing and new partners as we continue to make rapid progress in delivering our technology roadmap.”

Martin Port, Chief Executive Officer at BigChange, added: “We are delighted to jointly announce this new partnership and API with Reconomy which further endorses our commitment to deploying the BigChange platform across the waste management sector. Over the coming months and years, we will be working closely with Reconomy to migrate supply chain users of BigChange to this API while proactively launching the BigChange platform and Reconomy API into the waste management sector. I’m sure there will be lots of interest and we look forward to enjoying great success together going forward.”

This new BigChange API is now part of a catalog of APIs Reconomy has developed with leading waste management software providers including Midsoft and Isys with more in the pipeline. These APIs work alongside (or instead of) Reconomy’s own proprietary ePod platform, software, and apps which are designed for suppliers that don’t currently use one of the main industry platforms.
